ST: How long has g. marie boutique been open?
gm: We opened for business in November 2009

ST: How would you describe the g. marie customer?
gm: My customers are women and men who enjoy looking fashion forward and at a great price.

ST: What designers or favorite lines do you carry?
gm: Free People, Wildfox Couture, Level 99 Denim, Divine Rights of Denim, Alternative Apparel, Theme, arc & co., Jeremiah, Vintage Havana, and much more!

ST: You seem to have a nice variety of different styles and fashions, give us a sense of your product mix?
gm: Thank you! I like to carry a wide range of products like accessories to help achieve that perfect look. g. marie offers a great selection of jewelry, scarves, hats, belts, and purses to do exactly that.

ST: What are your hottest selling items?
gm: Dresses sell the best. Women love to throw on a dress with a great pair of boots and dress it up with accessories. g. marie makes it easy, affordable and it always looks great!

ST: What are some big trends you see taking hold in Laguna and Southern California?
gm: I see a lot of inspiration from previous decades. Oversized t-shirts, floral print dresses and rompers, headbands, and destroyed denim. Fashion is a concept that constantly recycles itself, and I like to use this inspiration and add my own twist.

ST: What are some trends you would like to see in Southern California?
gm: Not any specific trend in particular but, I have always been a supporter of creating new styles so I encourage people to be creative in everything they wear.

ST: What else should we know about g. marie?
gm: I moved to Cali from Philadelphia in September 2009. At 23, I'm living my dream. Owning my own store has been a dream for as long as I can remember, and I have always been a west coast girl at heart. I am very happy to have moved to such an amazing place here in Laguna Beach. I love to meet new people, and I welcome everyone to come to g. marie Boutique and share g. marie is located in South Laguna Beach their love for fashion with me! I can't wait to meet you.

Taking the Next Step

This Season's Hottest Shoes and Accessories

The World Shoes and Accessories exposition is the largest of its kind. It is held twice a year in Las Vegas and it's the number one selling event of the season! With footwear and accessories of every genre, it would be difficult to refrain from such collections. This past weekend, the year's first WSA expo was held at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas. The theme was It Pays to Think Inside the Box and from the looks of it, this season's collections did not fall short of that title.

Summer is on its way and so are the shoes that come with it. Some of the finds at WSA included both ankle strapped and intricately designed sandals. Paired with a sundress or some shorts and a blouse, it would be a sin to go without these babies!

On a higher note, the clog sandals seem to be making their way to a closet near you. These platform heels are not only sexy, but they give off a look of naturalism with their wooden soles and leather bodies.

Speaking of leather, also showing at WSA was Chaos Leather Bags. With a casual selection of handbags, Chaos accessories can pair perfectly with any shoe!

Although the expo only ran one short weekend, the next WSA exhibition is planned to take place this August from the ninth to the eleventh. With exhibitors ranging from 7Seven to Stella, the collections are sure to be top notch! Photo Source.
