Introducing STYLE TRIBE - January 25, 2010
Click here to return to the archive.FINALLY, Orange County Stylistas have a place to call home! Welcome to STYLE TRIBE. Ever since Jessica (my partner in style) and I first began sharing our concept for STYLE TRIBE with our friends and associates, we knew we weren?t alone in our quest for a fashion finding solution. Others too were in need of help locating which OC boutiques carry the styles and trends we see in the magazines and which carry our favorite brands and designers.
We weren?t surprised to find that the boutiques also have a need. Their need is to get the word out about their hottest new items, staple brands, fashion events, and sales. After all, just because they don?t have the advertising budget of a department store chain or couture shop doesn?t mean that what they carry isn?t worth promoting. We felt the best way to meet both of these needs was through a web portal by which fashion shoppers (which we?ll call ?Stylistas?) can search for what they are seeking ? be it a specific item, a specific brand or a list of the best boutiques in their vicinity. That?s what you?ll find 24/7 at www.shopstyletribe.com, a complete directory of independent fashion retailers.
But a website alone is not enough. Smart Stylistas also need information! Info on the latest looks and who?s wearing them, tips on styling, hints on price points and introductions to the OC fashion power players. That?s where the STYLE TRIBE ?Trend Report? comes in. A weekly newsletter delivered every Thursday morning just in time for the weekend.
Now, throw in a membership card that entitles Stylista members to an automatic 10% discount on all purchases and 20% off during certain event times - at all member boutiques. Saving money is the best part, right! Plus, exclusive invitations to runway fashion event, boutique receptions and designer trunk shows are included too. Now you are starting to get the full picture. So please join us by becoming a member - it?s FREE! In the coming weeks and months, we will be continually adding new member boutiques and perfecting the site so check back often. You can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and we?ll keep you in the loop to all the style stuff you need to know.
Happy shopping!

Each week STYLE TRIBE will keep you updated on trends to be on the look-out for. Many boutiques are already selling through their winter stock and brining in their new Spring collections (which means lots of sale racks come January). Here is a brief report on what you can expect to see for Spring 2010.
Interfiliere has released their selection of colors for Spring / Summer 2010. Very subdued in nature with lots of green undertones; though also prevalent are pinks, blues and browns. Give your outfit a little extra style by adding metallic accessories.

The Hive, at The Lab in Costa Mesa, offers unique and stylish women and men's apparel including stylish jackets, cocktail dresses, leather coats and hip accessories. With a bit of LA flair, they stock the hottest trends, such as, fur vests, over the knee boots, asymmetrical tops and lots more. Their spring collection will debut in about three weeks and beginning in March, The Hive will be offering a greater selection of menswear.
To make room for the new arrivals they are currently offering all children's merchandise at 45% off. Stop by this weekend and get 20 - 50% off or buy 2 items and get 1 free. To view The Hive's full profile and to see more photos visit them at shopstyletribe.com
