2010 Grammys Fantasy Fashion

The Hot Looks on this year's red carpet
2010 Grammy's Fantasy FashionFantastical is the only way you can describe the attire of this year's Grammys Award Show. It seems Lady Gaga has raised the fashion bar, with lots of fellow songstresses happy to take the challenge. Gaga, walked the runway in a Giorgio Armani Prive gown that resembled a couture Ice Princess, complete with the northern star. The dress was the first of four garment changes Gaga made throughout the night, each a Giorgio Armani Prive original.

2010 Grammy's Fantasy FashionBeyonce was the big winner of the night, wearing a stunning "architectural" gown designed by Stephane Rolland, she took home six statues and broke the Grammy's record for most wins by a female performer.

2010 Grammy's Fantasy FashionAnother red carpet notable was Taylor Swift. In addition to receiving the Grammy for Album of the Year, Swift also garnered much attention and accolades for her navy blue glitter gown by KaufmanFranco.

2010 Grammy's Fantasy FashionAnd we would be remiss if we didn't mention Rihanna. She graced the red carpet in an awe inspiring white, feather laced gown by Elie Saab. Overall, the 2010 Grammys was stunning in every sense of the word. Here's a clip if you need a little more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPrwfe6Ev7E

Meet Kate Thompson

The First Lady of Feathers
Northern California native, Kate Thompson is the talk of the town! Her understanding of what the earth has to offer sparked the beginning of her admiration for organic materials. As a child, Thompson walked beneath soaring trees in the woods collecting natural objects to store in a treasure box. 2010 Grammy's Fantasy Fashion

Little did Thompson know that these tiny possessions would later become the building blocks of her jewelry designs. With a degree in Fine Arts from Loyola Marymount University and experience working at Lucent Dossier in Los Angeles, Thompson began making a name for herself by simply selling her jewelry to close friends.

Over the last year, the demand for Thompson's pieces has reached a new high. She has designed custom headdresses for Adan Jodorosky and Devendra Banhart's music videos and has recently fashioned original pieces for singer "Keisha." In fact, the pop singer wore Thompson's feathered earring on the red carpet at the 2010 Grammys. 2010 Grammy's Fantasy Fashion

Thompson's designs are natural. She creates earth inspired jewelry to bring out the inner "wild child" in all of us.

Thompson's pieces can be seen and purchased at Etsy.com keyword Katemariethompson. Boutiques interested in selling her jewelry can contact STYLE TRIBE at Delphine@shopestyletribe.com.

OC's Trendsetters

3 Ladies Leading the Tribe
OC'S TRENDSETTERSLos Angeles, our fashion sister to the north, has spawned many fashion icons in her day; but it's these three ladies who have helped to put Orange County on the fashion map. Gwen Stefani - this gorgeous Anaheim native may not be a "holla back girl" but she has definitely gained lots of attention for her personal style and retail fashion lines. In 2003, she debuted her clothing line L.A.M.B.and expanded her collection with the 2005 Harajuku Lovers line, drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and fashion.

Diane KeatonOC'S TRENDSETTERS grew up in Santa Ana and began her acting training in OC schools. Over the years her career has garnered numerous awards and nominations including an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Annie Hall. Keaton's eccentric wardrobe in Annie Hall, which consisted mainly of vintage men's clothing, including neckties, vests, baggy pants, and fedora hats, made her an unlikely fashion icon of the late 1970s. Most of the clothing seen in the film came from Keaton herself, who was already known for her tomboyish clothing style. Since then she has gone on to be the face of L'Oreal and an outspoken advocate for natural, non-surgical aging.

OC'S TRENDSETTERSNobody epitomizes California style and elegance more than Santa Ana born Michelle Pfeiffer. She rose to prominence during the late 1980s and early 1990s, during which time she gave a series of critically-acclaimed performances after first garnering mainstream attention with her appearance in Scarface(1983). Known for her sunkissed beauty, Pfeiffer appeared on the cover of People's first "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" issue in 1990, and again in 1999, having made the list a record six times during the decade.
